“Love Is the Essence of Our Being” November 29, 2009
Attitude is everything! We are always at choice as to how we perceive life. Either we see it as good, believing in the innate good in all people and circumstances, or we see it as dark and threatening, something to be approached with fear or belligerence. When we believe that it is all God and therefore all good, we approach all experience expecting only good. It is interesting to note that when we approach people with a smile, they usually respond with a smile. Any time we look for the good, we can find it. God is Love, and Love is the essence of our being. We were created to express that Love in our work and our relationships. It is said that every behavior is either an expression of love or a cry for love. So when we meet someone who is not behaving in a loving way, expressing envy, resentment or even hatred, let us remember that this individual is someone who is crying out for love and feel compassion for him or her. Often just feeling love from another can be transforming. Especially in this holiday time, let us remember to give the gift of love and compassion to every one we meet.

“Creating a Magnetic Atmosphere for Good” November 22, 2009
Many successful people have declared their belief that consistently counting their blessings in a spirit of gratitude has been the main reason for their success. This practice seems to create a magnetic atmosphere which attracts ever greater blessings. Developing the ability to perceive that every experience, no matter how it may seem at the time, carries within it a blessing or a possibility of a healing allows a person to live in a constant state of gratitude. We have been given the gift of life so that we can come to an understanding of the truth of who we are—-each a unique, individualized expression of the One Life, created with unlimited potential to live life to the fullest. As we come to realize the magnitude of this gift, it is easy to allow ourselves to live in a constant state of gratitude, fully experiencing all of the love, peace, joy and abundance that life has to offer us.
As we enter into our time of meditation this morning, let us take a moment to silently say: “Thank you, God for all the good I have today, and all the good that is on the way.”

“The Law of Circulation: Being a Go-Giver” November 15, 2009
In recent times there has been a great deal of emphasis on how to become a go-getter–how to attract the perfect relationship, the perfect job, the perfect home, and so forth. This approach has stemmed from a lack of understanding of Spiritual Laws–particularly the Law of Circulation. There has to be a recognition of the fact that giving and receiving need to be in balance. In the Science of Mind, Ernest Holmes wrote: “When the law of circulation is retarded, stagnation results….When a man’s thought rests entirely upon himself, he becomes abnormal and unhappy; but when he gives of himself with enthusiasm to any legitimate purpose, losing himself in the thing which he is doing, he becomes normal and happy. Only as much life enters into us as we can conceive of, and we conceive of life–in the larger sense–only when there is complete abandonment to it. Let the one who is sad, depressed, or unhappy find some altruistic purpose into which he may pour his whole being, and he will find a new inflow of life of which he has never dreamed.”
If we have concentrated on becoming a go-getter without bringing our life into compliance with the Law of Circulation, it is time to balance being a go-getter with being a go-giver. That is where the path of happiness lies.

“We Celebrate Our Achievement” November 8, 2009
There are many landmarks along the Spiritual path, and today represents one of these. As we come to the conclusion of this year’s Adventure in Faith, we celebrate our achievement. Together we have learned how to remove the upper limits and hidden barriers that have, in the past, impeded our upward spiral. We celebrate knowing that there is nothing that can prevent us from achieving our deepest desires. They have been implanted in us and we only have to open ourselves to realize our fullest potential. Each of us has an inner genius just waiting to be expressed. We recognize it and set the intention to bring it fully into expression.
So today, as we enter into our time in the silence, we do so with hearts filled with gratitude for all that has been, all that is now, and all that is continuing to manifest. We know, and know that we know, that each of us is a unique individualized expression of the One Spirit, individualized but never separate, each with his or her own part to play in the transformation of the world, and it is all good, and very good!
