“Know ye not that ye are gods?” –June 28, 2009
Most of us are familiar with the story of the Naturalist who came upon an eagle living in a chicken yard with no concept of the truth of what it really was. In fact, when the naturalist urged it to fly as an eagle, the bird jumped down with the chickens. It was only when, on the third day, the naturalist took it to the mountain top and lifted him to the sky that the eagle trembled and then with a triumphant cry soared away into the heavens.
How many of us are living the life of a chicken not realizing that we are, indeed, destined to soar. Too often we have listened to those who would limit us to an ordinary life when we are, in truth, capable of so much more. The Master Teacher said, “Know ye not that ye are gods?” We are created in the image and likeness of God and God knows nothing of limitation. Now is the time when we are called upon to live up to our full potential. The world is waiting for the miracles that come when each one of us expresses all that we were created to be. Why walk when we can fly!

The Power of Intuition– June 21, 2009
Webster defines intuition as: direct perception of truth…independent of any reasoning process…a fact, truth, etc. perceived in this way. Ernest Holmes speaks of intuition as: God in man, revealing to him the Realities of Being…The ability to know without any process of reasoning. God knows only intuitively.
How do we know when the voice in our head or the feeling inside is our intuition, or our will or ego directing us? We learn to differentiate by the consequences of any action we take when we feel or hear that inner direction. The intuition is always true and the results are always for the highest good of all concerned, while the ego is always attempting to lure us in the direction to satisfy its own wants or needs. It may take time to come to know which voice we are hearing, but once we do we no longer need to hesitate to follow the one that is always true, as we come to trust in the one that is God speaking directly to us.
